Role:

The Global Business Development Manager / Business Manager will focus on partnering with a key executive and global business driver for the organization. The individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and multitask. We are looking for a person who drives initiatives and can streamline processes in order to be more effective. The opportunity calls for an individual who can efficiently “manage up” and hold leaders accountable.

Additionally, this role will focus on go-to-market material, presentations, and data for key pitches. The ideal candidate brings general analytical experience with measuring KPIs, a knack for cross-sell opportunities, and an understanding of trends and building forecasts (i.e., commercial moves in the market).

Position Description:

  • Compile, build, and maintain a cloud program built around client activity, including all major contacts, touch points, and previous engagement both by the Chief Commercial Officer – International and others in ZRG; build ZRG’s story and body of work;
  • Ensure Chief Commercial Officer – International keeps in touch with clients and hold this leader accountable for follow-up requests and check-ins;
  • Maintain top-level communications and customer service with clients;
  • Understand ZRG’s capabilities and help build internal followership of key stakeholders in functional areas and practices that are most suitable for Chief Commercial Officer – International’s clients;
  • Assist with all go-to-market material, presentations, data for key pitches, or information requests;
  • Hold accountable all MDs/Principals who partner with Chief Commercial Officer – International, with regard to continuous improvement, governance on how all searches are run (to comply with high standards), and use of Zi Platform and candidate/search assessment tools;
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition partners and Human Resources regarding all major accounts, ensuring applicable processes and internal company procedures are followed;
  • Help executive assistant with payments, PO creation, and generally “adding oxygen” around commercial agreements and engagement with clients;
  • Track data on number of meetings, pitches, and assignments won, lost, or cancelled;
  • Track data on cross-sell contribution and KPIs on introductions made to other business lines;
  • Track data on MD partnerships, analyzing how input affects performance/progress;
  • Track data on Chief Commercial Officer – International’s origination as well as who the Chief Commercial Officer – International partners with across the firm, analyzing success levels and metrics such as average search time to close, win/lose pitch rate, etc.;
  • Help Chief Commercial Officer – International analyze and predict the best use of this leader’s time based upon industry/economic data and “hot spots,” opportunities/trends, “where the money is,” etc.;
  • Help to create, run, and manage client events or exhibitions as needed.

  • Tenacious and highly articulate in written word; capacity to set up meetings/reach out to clients and old contacts;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work with multiple stakeholders;
  • Experience working in a large organization; ability to filter activity by priority level.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in the consulting and advisory services strategic alignment, career and sales optimization.
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and influencing skills.
  • BS/BA in business administration, finance, or relevant field.
